Lead and intake management for firms with real enquiry volume.

Why do firms need a CRM at all?

Because most firms lose more work at the enquiry stage than anywhere else. A form arrives by email, someone reads it a day later, runs a conflict check by hand, and sends an engagement letter three days after the client first got in touch. By then the client has called somebody else. These products exist to close that gap, and for firms with real enquiry volume the return is usually the clearest on this whole list.

Is this different from practice management?

Yes, and the distinction matters. Practice management starts once someone is a client. Intake and CRM cover everything before that: qualifying the enquiry, the conflict check, the engagement letter, and the follow up on the ones who did not respond. Several practice management products now include an intake module, which is usually enough for firms with modest volume.

How this directory works. Products are selected and described by the Legal Desire editorial team. A listing is not a recommendation, and descriptions say what a product is for rather than how good it is, because the honest answer depends on your firm.

The directory carries both editorial entries and commercial placements. Anything commercial is labelled as sponsored on the page and in the structured data, so you always know which is which. Vendors can apply for a listing or a sponsorship.
