How we work
Our readers make decisions with real consequences, so accuracy comes before speed. Reporting is checked against primary sources, judgments, filings and the firms involved. Where we get something wrong we correct it and say so.
We publish three distinct kinds of content and we label them so you always know which one you are reading:
- Editorial. Reported, commissioned and edited by our team. Nobody pays for it and nobody outside the newsroom decides it.
- Announcements and press releases. Submitted by firms and organisations. Published under our announcements categories, edited for clarity and house style, not independently reported.
- Partner content. Paid placements, always visibly labelled as sponsored or partner content, with outbound links marked
rel="sponsored"in line with Google’s policy.
Paying us does not buy coverage. Our reporting, interviews and commentary are decided by the editorial team on editorial grounds. Advertisers and Publisher Plan members get no say in what we cover, no advance sight of what we write about them or their competitors, and no right to have accurate coverage changed or removed. The label on paid content is what makes it safe for a firm to point at, so we do not remove it at any price.
Our full editorial standards set out how we source, verify, correct and disclose.
