Allahabad High Court Bar Association, Chief Election Officer has resigned after protests of Lawyers

Chief election officer and Senior Advocate, V.M.Jaidi, appointed for Allahabad High Court Bar Association has resigned. He gave it to Elders Committee. Some groups of advocates were against his appointment and were demanding his resignation. According to them Jaidi being a CRO can’t look after the election. Advocates warned that they will move for hunger-strike if he does not resign. Bar Council Member, I.K.Chaturvedi informed the advocates group about Jaidi’s resignation with which they ended their protest. He assured for appointment of chief election officer soon for bar association election

 

The protest was presided by prior treasurer, Rajeev Shukla near Ambedkar Statue. Others were Ritesh Srivastava, manish Dwivedi, Ashok Singh, Abhishek Chauhan, Sukhveer Singh, K.K.Yadav, Mohit Singh, Devendra Vikram Singh, Kunwar Rajan, Sanjay Yadav, etc.

V.M. Jaidi had also been Chief Election Officer in earlier election.
