Sidley represented Warner Music Group (WMG), the global music entertainment company, as co-counsel with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, in connection with the formation of a joint venture with Bain Capital, a leading global private investment firm. The joint venture will allow for the purchase of up to US$1.2 billion of legendary music catalogs across both recorded music and music publishing.
This strategic partnership combines WMG’s industry expertise with Bain Capital’s financial acumen to create a significant platform for investment in seasoned music assets.
