Sidley is representing the special committee of independent trustees of Slate Grocery REIT (TSX: SGR.UN), an owner and operator of U.S. grocery-anchored real estate, in its all-cash acquisition by a joint venture between Brixmor Property Group Inc. (Brixmor) and affiliates of Everview Partners, L.P. (Everview). The Sidley team was led by Adam Cromie and David Grubman (M&A and Private Equity) and Christian Brause (Tax), and included Kim Gubbels and Ashka Sheth (M&A and Private Equity); Nicholas Brandfon and Connor T. Evans (Real Estate); Katarina Molnarova, Jeffrey E. Ross, Sumita Ahuja, Jim Albrecht, and Reid McKinney (Global Finance); Dustin R. Anderson (Tax); and James Heyworth (Securities and Shareholder Litigation).
