Sidley Represents JPMorgan in US$825 Million Financing Deal with Regency Entertainment

Sidley represented JPMorgan as administrative agent and lead arranger for a US$700 million syndicated secured revolving credit facility and a US$125 million first in/last-out term loan facility for Regency Entertainment. The many films produced by Regency include back-to-back Academy Award® Best Picture winners 12 Years A Slave (2013) and Birdman (2014), 2015’s multiple Oscar® winners The Revenant (2015) and The Big Short (2015) and 2019’s Golden Globe® and Oscar® winning Bohemian Rhapsody (2018). Its upcoming slate includes Adrian Lyne’s Deep Water, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (a film adaptation of the musical), an untitled original film from David O. Russell starring Christian Bale, Michael B. Jordan and Margot Robbie, and Robert Eggers’ The Northman with Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman and Willem Dafoe.

The Sidley team was led by Richard Petretti in the firm’s office in Century City and included Raisa Turner and David Azcarraga (Century City), James Crooks, Iram Tariq and Sofia Wilson (London), and Kelley Gmoser (Los Angeles).
