Sidley represented Security Benefit and its subsidiary Everly Holdings — the owner of Everly, a direct-to-consumer insurance agency — in the acquisition of Settlers Life from National Guardian Life, a leading independent mutual life insurance company.
According to Everly, the transaction will further enable the company to execute on its mission of providing direct and digital access to high-quality and affordable life insurance products.
The Sidley team was led by Mike Devins (Insurance), and included Michael Rosenfield, John Grothaus, Jessica Schultz, Tiffany Kong, Jacob Grossman (all Insurance), Peter Edgerton, and Nathan Enfield (both Tax).
