Sidley Advises MicroPort Scientific Corporation on its HK$1.55 Billion Placing of New Shares

Sidley represented MicroPort Scientific Corporation (MicroPort®) (HKEX: 0853) in connection with the placing of new shares under general mandate. The gross proceeds from the placing are expected to be approximately HK$1.55 billion. The placing agent is J.P. Morgan Securities Plc.

MicroPort®, founded in 1998 in Shanghai, China, is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices in China in terms of the number of stents implanted, focusing primarily on minimally invasive interventional products for the treatment of vascular diseases and disorders.

The Hong Kong-based Sidley team was led by partners Christopher Cheng and Renee Xiong, with support from associate Ammo Chan.
