Ropes & Gray Represents Natixis Investment Managers in its sale of AlphaSimplex to Virtus Investment

Ropes & Gray represented Natixis Investment Managers in its sale of AlphaSimplex, a manager of liquid alternative investment solutions to Virtus Investment Partners. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The announcement was released on Oct. 22 in a press release.

Virtus Investment Partners is a multi-boutique asset management business that provides investment management products and services. Natixis Investment Managers delivers a range of solutions across asset classes, styles, and vehicles, including innovative environmental, social, and governance strategies and products dedicated to advancing sustainable finance.

The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity counsel Michael Gilbert, and included private equity associate Rebecca Cushing, asset management partners James Thomas and Jeremy Liabo, private equity partner Paul Van Houten, employment & benefits partners Renata Ferrari and Loretta Richard, employment & benefits associate Jeff Battle, and tax partner Aaron Harsh.
