Ropes & Gray advised Cambrex, a global contract development manufacturing organization (CDMO) providing products and services across the entire drug lifecycle, in a definitive agreement to acquire Snapdragon Chemistry, a US-based provider of chemical process development services. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. The announcement was made November 21 in a press release.
The acquisition will partner Snapdragon’s process development capabilities with Cambrex’s larger scale manufacturing facilities in North America and Europe, accelerating Cambrex’s growth. This will be Cambrex’s second acquisition within a year along with the purchase of Q1 Scientific in June 2022, on which Ropes & Gray also advised.
