Private Funds Partner Ryan McNish Joins Sidley’s Global Investment Funds Group in Chicago

Chicago – Sidley is pleased to announce that Ryan McNish has joined the firm as a partner in its Investment Funds practice group in the firm’s office in Chicago. He joins from Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s Investment Funds Practice Group.

Mr. McNish’s practice focuses on structuring, negotiating, and forming private investment funds, including the formation and operation of related general partner and management company structures. He counsels private equity sponsors across a broad range of investment strategies on fund formation, governance, organizational matters, and related structuring issues. Mr. McNish has advised numerous leading private equity sponsors on both open-end and closed-end fund formations and has developed significant experience handling sophisticated fundraising and organizational matters.
