Mayer Brown advised Taylor Morrison Home Corporation, a leading US homebuilder and community developer, in connection with its definitive agreement to be acquired by Berkshire Hathaway Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $8.5 billion.

The transaction reflects Berkshire Hathaway’s continued investment in housing and building-related businesses and positions Taylor Morrison for long-term growth under Berkshire’s ownership.

Mayer Brown served as financial services regulatory counsel to Taylor Morrison in connection with the transaction. The team was led by Holly Spencer Bunting and Krista Cooley, and included associate Hilary Kang, based in the firm’s Los Angeles and Washington DC offices.
