Maura Dineen appointed as Country Managing Partner of DLA Piper Ireland

Global law firm DLA Piper announces the appointment of Maura Dineen as Country Managing Partner (CMP) for Ireland, effective 1 September 2026.

Maura joined the firm in 2019 and advises Irish and international clients on tax matters across local and cross-border transactions, including inward investment, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property exploitation, and tax-efficient financing structures. Maura has played a key role in the continued expansion of DLA Piper’s Irish practice and the development of its client offering. She is also a member of the Council of the Irish Tax Institute.

Maura succeeds David Carthy, who led the firm since it entered the market in 2019. David will remain as a Partner in the Corporate practice, advising Irish, US, and multinational companies across the Life Sciences, Technology, and Financial Services sectors, advising on cross-border M&A, corporate reorganisations, and FDI, while continuing to support the firm’s growth in Ireland and globally.

Since launching in 2019, DLA Piper Ireland has established itself as a prominent international law firm, with 130 people based in Dublin. The firm advises multinational organisations and Irish-headquartered businesses on local and cross-border matters, leveraging the strength of its global platform spanning more than 40 countries and 90 offices worldwide.
