Linklaters has advised Warehouses De Pauw (WDP) on its €400 million capital increase by way of an accelerated bookbuilding process.
The logistics real estate group, a member of the BEL 20, Belgium’s benchmark stock market index tracking the 20 leading companies listed on Euronext Brussels, has successfully secured €400 million in fresh capital from institutional investors.
The proceeds will provide WDP with additional financial flexibility to pursue its growth strategy across Europe, including investments in key markets such as Germany and Italy.
The capital increase also further strengthens WDP’s balance sheet, positioning the company for its planned strategic combination with French logistics real estate group Argan.
Belfius, J.P. Morgan, Van Lanschot Kempen, ABN AMRO, BNP Paribas, Citi, ING, KBC Securities and Morgan Stanley acted as underwriters in connection with the transaction.
This transaction further highlights Linklaters’ leading Capital Markets and Corporate expertise in supporting clients on complex and strategic capital raisings across Europe.
The mandate brought together a cross-border Linklaters team, reflecting the international nature of the transaction. The team was led by Partners Filip Lecoutre and Mike Bienenfeld (US securities law aspects), supported by Managing Associate Victor Burki and Junior Associate Julie Vandermeeren.
