Linklaters has advised Arise Ivoire on the setting-up and phased development of three Economic Industrial Zones (ZEI) in Ivory Coast in Abidjan, Ferkessédougou and San Pedro, a project worth FCFA 1000bn (more than EUR1.5bn) announced by the government.

The project is expected to lead to the creation of 350,000 jobs by 2030 and aims to increase the transformation rate of raw materials into finished and semi-finished goods through dedicated and fully equipped large economic industrial zones in the country.

Signing of the development agreement was announced on the 25th August by the Ivory Coast Prime Minister, Hamed Bakayoko, in Abidjan.

The team was led by Marc Petitier, partner in Corporate, and Justin C. Faye, counsel in Energy & Infrastructure.
