
Linklaters has acted as the sole international counsel for the book running lead managers on Juniper Green Energy Limited’s initial public offering (IPO) on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and BSE, raising INR 18bn, approximately US$189m.
Juniper Green Energy is one of the largest renewable independent power producers in India by total capacity. The company develops, builds, operates and maintains utility-scale renewable energy projects, with a portfolio spanning solar, wind, wind-solar hybrid and firm and dispatchable renewable energy projects, including battery energy storage systems.
The offering received strong investor demand, with the IPO subscribed around eight times overall and the qualified institutional buyer portion subscribed 24.94 times. Juniper Green Energy’s shares listed at a premium on both the NSE and BSE, reflecting positive market reception for the transaction.
The transaction demonstrates continued investor interest in India’s renewable energy sector and the role of India’s equity capital markets in supporting the growth of clean energy infrastructure.
