Linklaters advises Mirova on its investment in Sunly, an independent power producer active in the Baltics and Poland

Linklaters has advised Mirova, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers and a leading French asset manager, on its investment in Sunly, an independent power producer, as part of a fundraising of a total amount of around EUR 200m.

The capital raise included investments from Mirova, who became the largest investor, and Sunly’s existing shareholders (none of the investors owns a majority stake). Sunly will use the capital to further develop its solar and wind portfolio in the Baltics and Poland.

The Linklaters team was led by Patryk Figiel (partner). The transactional advisory was provided by Christopher Quinn (counsel) and Michał Szperzyński (senior associate), and supervised by Daniel Cousens (partner). Jakub Dąbrowski (managing associate), Michał Maruszak (senior associate) and Dominik Piechowiak (junior associate) advised on the project aspects of the transaction, with Mikołaj Bieniasz (of counsel) and Michał Nocoń (senior associate) advising on tax matters. Baltic law firm Ellex advised on Estonian and Latvian law.
