Linklaters advises Affinity Equity Partners on its investment in Indonesia-based media service platform Vidio

Linklaters advised Affinity Equity Partners on its US$150m investment in PT Vidio Dot Com (Vidio), one of Indonesia’s leading over-the-top (OTT) media service platforms. Vidio is part of the Emtek Group, and this marks the first time that it has raised external capital.

This investment is Affinity Equity Partners’ second technology sector investment in Southeast Asia and continues the Asian private equity powerhouse’s growth and market expansion in Indonesia.

The Linklaters team was led by corporate partner Karen Phang, with support from managing associate Gary Beh, working alongside a team from Widyawan & Partners, Linklaters’ association firm in Indonesia.

Corporate partner, Karen Phang commented:

“This transaction marks a new milestone for a key player in the streaming media market in Indonesia. We are honoured to have had the opportunity to support Affinity Equity Partners on this important investment into Indonesia and look forward to continuing to work with the team on other opportunities in this fast-growing market.”
