Latham & Watkins Advises Stonepeak and Columbia Capital on Acquisition of German Data Center Operator IPB

Latham & Watkins LLP has advised Stonepeak, a leading alternative investment firm specializing in infrastructure and real assets, and Columbia Capital, an investment firm focused on the digital infrastructure, enterprise technology, and mobility sectors, to acquire IPB Internet Provider in Berlin GmbH (IPB). IPB is a leading data center operator in Berlin. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The Latham team was led by infrastructure private equity partners Alexander Stefan Rieger, Leif Schrader and John Guccione, with associates Joscha Müller, Johannes Groß, Sonja Hensch, Pascal Wagenführ, Alice Drayton, and Conor Nolan. Advice was also provided on tax matters by partner Tobias Klass, with associate Manuela Minsel; on real estate matters by associate Marie-Christine Welp; on finance matters by associate Valentin Mezger; and on employment matters by counsel Florian Dehmel, with associates Julian Traub and Martina Hölzer.
