Electronic Arts Inc., a global leader in interactive entertainment, announced that its acquisition by PIF, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners (collectively, the Consortium) has successfully closed. The Consortium’s agreement to acquire EA was previously announced on September 29, 2025, and was approved by EA stockholders at a special meeting of stockholders held on December 22, 2025.
Latham & Watkins LLP served as primary counsel to Silver Lake and co‑counsel to the investor consortium on IP and gaming matters in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by New York partners Michael Anastasio and Ian Nussbaum, Bay Area partner Chad Rolston, New York/Orange County partner Charles Ruck, Orange County/Los Angeles partner Ghaith Mahmood, and Los Angeles partner Rick Offsay.
