NEP Group has announced the acquisition of Prysm Collective as part of the launch of a new virtual production business segment, to be called NEP Virtual Studios. In addition to Prysm, NEP also acquired Lux Machina and Halon Entertainment.
Latham & Watkins advised Prysm in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by New York partners Justin Hamill and Peyton Worley and Los Angeles counsel Scott French, with Century City associate Simon Moshkovich. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Bay Area partner Katharine Moir, with associate Derek Gumm; on benefits and compensation matters by Century City partner Julie Crisp; and on intellectual property and data privacy matters by Orange County counsel David Kuiper.
