Latham & Watkins Advises Lead Arrangers in Financing of Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets’ A$3.5 Billion Acquisition of Vocus Group Limited

Latham & Watkins advised Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, and Natixis in a financing in connection with Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets’ A$3.5 billion (US$2.6 billion) acquisition of telecommunications company Vocus Group Limited, comprising term facilities of A$2.0 billion (equivalent to US$1.47 billion) (comprised of A$ and US$ tranches and delayed draw facilities). The financing represents the largest ever Australian term loan B transaction. The transaction closed on July 22, 2021.

New York banking partner Alfred Xue led the Latham team that advised on the financing, with associates Victor Ludwig, Daniel Ovadia, and Brent Begany. New York partner Michael Benjamin advised on capital markets matters and New York partner Bora Bozkurt advised on tax matters.
