
Latham & Watkins has advised J&T Global Express Limited (J&T Express) on its initial public offering (IPO) and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with weighted voting rights (WVR) structure. The gross proceeds from the offering were approximately US$500 million prior to the exercise of the over-allotment option. The transaction represents the second largest IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to date in 2023.
J&T Express is a global logistics service provider with leading express delivery businesses in Southeast Asia and China. Founded in 2015, J&T Express’ network spans thirteen countries, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, China, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Mexico, Brazil, and Egypt.
The Latham team was led by Hong Kong corporate partners Frank Sun, Benjamin Su, Terris Tang and Cathy Yeung, with counsel Zheng Wang and Eric Yiu, and associates Weigang Meng, Baihan Li, Alex Lai, Yan Zhang, Marie Lim, Caroline Lin, and Eunice Chan.
