Latham & Watkins LLP advised H.I.G. Capital, on the sale of Der Grüne Punkt – Duales System Deutschland to Circular Resources. Der Grüne Punkt was founded in 1990 as Germany’s first dual system to provide nationwide collection of used sales packages beneficial for the consumer. Its combination with Circular Resources will create a large-scale provider of solutions for the circular economy in Europe. The parties have agreed not to disclose further details of the transaction.
The Latham team was led by Frankfurt corporate partner Otto von Gruben with Hamburg associate Jacob Ahme. Advice was also provided by Hamburg tax partner Tobias Klass.
