Houston corporate partners Michael Chambers and Nick Dhesi were honored at the Texas Legal Awards 2020, presented by Texas Lawyer, the American Lawyer Media publication. The annual awards program recognizes those “who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession in Texas.”
Chambers, the Global Vice Chair of Latham’s Corporate Department, was recognized as a Most Effective Dealmaker based on the breadth and complexity of the financing structures he advises on and his understanding of the oil and gas industry. Blending banking, capital markets, and restructuring expertise, Chambers regularly advises major lenders, investors and companies on important transactions.
Dhesi was bestowed an On the Rise award for his versatility in guiding numerous energy industry clients through complex, multi-faceted public and private M&A transactions, as well as the related capital markets, financing, and joint venture aspects of each deal. He also earned recognition as a rising star on a national level last year when The Deal named him one of the Top 21 New M&A Law Partners in the United States.
Both partners are prominent members of the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure Industry Group, a globally integrated, multi-disciplinary team that serves industry participants across the full spectrum of energy and infrastructure.
