Latham & Watkins Advises Carlyle in Acquisition of CBAM Partners’ Portfolio of Assets

Global investment firm Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG) has announced that it has agreed to acquire from CBAM Partners, an affiliate of Eldridge, a portfolio of assets using a combination of US$615 million in cash from Carlyle’s balance sheet and approximately 4.2 million newly issued common shares.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents Carlyle in the transaction with a deal team led by Chicago partners Shaun Hartley and Max Schleusener and Washington, D.C. partner Daniel Lennon. Los Angeles partner Dominic Yoong and London partner Alex Martin advised on collateralized loan obligation (CLO) matters.
