Latham & Watkins Advises Brookfield in Material Bank’s US$175 Million Series D Financing

Material Bank, the world’s largest marketplace for architectural, design, and construction materials, has announced it has secured US$175 million in Series D funding led by Brookfield’s technology investment arm Brookfield Growth, with participation from additional strategic partners Fifth Wall, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, and RXR. This significant raise brings the company’s total funding to more than US$325 million.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents Brookfield, the lead investor, in the financing round with an emerging companies deal team led by Bay Area partners Ben Potter and Mike Podolny, with associate Eric Znotins. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Bay Area partner Kirt Switzer.
