Latham & Watkins advised Bloom & Wild on its acquisition of Bergamotte, a French online florist. The acquisition more than quadruples the size of Bloom & Wild’s business in France, making it a top five player, and doubles its plants revenue across Europe.
Alongside the acquisition of Bergamotte, Latham advised Bloom & Wild on a further £30 million equity raise from its existing investors and a £20 million debt financing, bringing Bloom & Wild’s total equity raised to £126 million.
The transactions follow Bloom & Wild’s acquisition of Bloomon, and its Series D fundraising, which Latham also advised on.
The Latham team was led by London corporate partner Robbie McLaren, with associates Jon Fox and Will Temple-Smith. Advice on French legal matters was provided by Paris partner Charles-Antoine Guelluy; and on finance matters by London partner Adrian Chiodo with associates Siobhan Kennedy and Jess Donnellan.
