Kirkland & Ellis advised KKR and its portfolio company PlayOn! Sports, a leading high school sports media and technology company, on PlayOn! Sports’ entry into a definitive merger agreement with GoFan, a leading digital ticketing company in the high school sports and events market. KKR, which joined Panoramic Ventures as an investor in PlayOn! earlier this year, is making an additional investment from its North America Fund XIII fund to support the strategic combination. The transaction, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2022, is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
