Automattic (WordPress.com, Tumblr and WooCommerce’s parent company) is hiring a Counsel or Senior Counsel to advise its product teams on the EU’s Digital Services Act, the Online Safety Acts and the AI Act, with a focus on content-safety and privacy questions across web hosting, e-commerce and social platforms. The role also tracks upcoming regulation and represents the company before regulators.
What they’re looking for:
- A J.D. from a US-accredited law school (or an EU-qualified attorney) with 5+ years’ experience
- Familiarity with open source, user-generated content and digital advertising
- Comfort working independently and asynchronously across time zones
