Payments platform Adyen is hiring an Associate Commercial Counsel for the global Deal Desk within its Commercial Legal team in Amsterdam. The lawyer will negotiate complex, multi-jurisdictional agreements with vendors and commercial partners, and advise procurement, partnerships, product and regulatory teams on contracting principles and compliance.
The role also covers early-stage disputes and contract interpretation questions, writing negotiation playbooks, training internal teams on how to handle vendor and partner deals, and pushing legal automation and process improvements so the team can keep pace with Adyen’s growth.
You’ll likely be a fit if you have:
- 3+ years of legal experience, in-house or at a law firm
- Strong commercial contracting or wider transactional experience and a solid grasp of contract law
- Clear communication and the ability to explain complex points to non-lawyers
- A pragmatic, organised approach to a high-volume, fast-paced workload
