New York, 2 September 2020 –Hogan Lovells advised client IDB Invest in a $US100 million loan to finance Gas Natural de Lima y Callao, S.A. (“Cálidda”). The funds are repayable over eight years, and will allow Calidda to expand its natural gas distribution network to more than 180,000 new users during 2020 and 2021 in urban areas of the Department of Lima and the Constitutional Province of Callao.
Cálidda is a Peru-based wholly-owned subsidiary of Grupo de Energía de Bogotá, a leader in the South American energy sector with operations in Colombia, Brazil, Peru, and Guatemala.
The Hogan Lovells team was led by partner, Ricardo S. Martinez, associate Christopher Bonilla and international legal advisor Antonio de la Esperanza.
