Hogan Lovells Cadwalader advises FLEX Capital portfolio company neeyo Group in connection with its refinancing by Apera

Global law firm Hogan Lovells Cadwalader has advised neeyo Group, a DACH-based software specialist for automated customer communication, in connection with a refinancing to position itself for its next phase of growth. The new financing partner of the FLEX Capital portfolio company is Apera Asset Management, a pan-European private debt investor focused on the mid-market.

neeyo and Apera tailored the financing to the company’s specific needs, enabling neeyo to further strengthen its market position in the DACH region. Since 2021, FLEX Capital has worked alongside management to build neeyo into one of the leading CCM providers in the DACH region through five acquisitions, the integration of these businesses into a single group, and the development of an integrated CCM platform. For FLEX Capital, the transaction confirms the company’s successful development since its initial investment.

neeyo develops business-critical end-to-end software for Customer Communication Management (CCM). Customers use it to automate their entire digital and physical customer communication, from individualized, regulatory-compliant documents through to delivery and archiving.

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader advised neeyo Group on the transaction through a multidisciplinary team specialising in private equity, data protection and compliance. The private equity team led by Hamburg-based partner Dr. Jan Philipp Feigen and Munich-based counsel Dr. Philipp Strümpell consisted of senior associate Hannah Wohlfarth (Munich), associate Dr. Sebastian Merkel (Hamburg) and research assistant Andrea Schnell (Munich). Counsel Prof. Dr. Fabian Pfuhl and senior associate Felix Ackermann from the Frankfurt office advised in relation to data privacy and Berlin-based counsel Dr. Felix Werner handled compliance aspects.
