Global law firm Hogan Lovells Cadwalader advised Allianz Value, Allianz Italy’s company dedicated to healthcare services and projects, on the launch of Italy’s first telemedicine-enabled community healthcare facility in Chiomonte, in Val di Susa. The initiative represents a first-of-its-kind project introducing an innovative and experimental model for the delivery of healthcare services in local communities.
Developed by Allianz Value in cooperation with the Municipality of Chiomonte and with the technological support of CGM Telemedicine, the project establishes a structured public-private partnership aimed at bringing certified medical technologies and advanced telemedicine services directly to mountain communities, where access to healthcare has historically been more challenging.
The project, which was inaugurated in June 2026, required an extensive development process and close coordination with the relevant public authorities and stakeholders, including the Municipality of Chiomonte, the competent local healthcare authority, general practitioners and specialist advisors.
The Hogan Lovells Cadwalader team that advised on the transaction was led by partner Luca Perfetti
