Freshfields has advised solutions by stc (Solutions) on its acquisition of 88.19% of Giza Systems S.A.E, a leading systems integrator in the MENA region headquartered in Egypt, from Inergia Technologies for Information Systems, as well as 34% of its subsidiary Giza Arabia.
Solutions is a leading IT service provider in Saudi Arabia and provides digital transformation solutions to the public and private sector. The acquisition represents a significant step in line with Solutions’ international expansion strategy.
The Freshfields team was led by partners Pervez Akhtar and Fares Al Hejailan and counsel Abdallah Maher. Associates Nalothiya Nambirajah and Aliana Dhanani provided principal support throughout the transaction. Senior associate Ibrahim Attar and associate Muyasser Albar took the lead on anti-trust aspects of the transaction.
