DLA Piper advised Kira Pharmaceuticals (Kira) in its merger with Jasper Therapeutics and related strategic transactions, including a concurrent US$132 million private financing led by Mirador Therapeutics and other life sciences investors, and the out-licensing of certain Kira assets to Mirador Therapeutics.
Kira develops complement therapies to treat immune-mediated diseases, and Jasper Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development of briquilimab, a targeted anti-KIT monoclonal antibody for multiple chronic immunological and inflammatory diseases. The combined company is positioned to advance a portfolio of biologic agents designed to improve outcomes in patients with numerous immunologically-driven disorders.
