Dentons has advised Union Investment Real Estate, a German commercial real estate investor, on the sale of two office buildings – part of the Maraton complex in Poznań – to UNIQA Insurance Group.
Maraton Office and Commercial Center is an environmental friendly office complex located in the center of Poznań. It consists of modern A-Class office buildings developed by Skanska Property Poland and commissioned in 2016. The complex’s patio exposes a piece of the 19th-century wall of Poznan Fortress that was secured during construction works. The office space of the properties amounts to more than 26,000 sqm in two seven-story buildings. The properties, reflecting the Modernism period in Poznan, are located in close proximity to four parks, the Central Railway Station (Dworzec Główny), the Old Square and the Old Brewery (Stary Browar). The buildings have LEED certification at the “Gold” level.
The transaction was led by counsel Martyna Racz-Suchocka and associate Alicja Grabowska with the support on the closing provided by senior associate Arkadiusz Dębski. The project was supervised by Bartłomiej Kordeczka, Partner and Deputy Head of the Real Estate practice in Poland.
