Clifford chance has advised French energy group Total on the acquisition and subsequent development during the coming years, of a portfolio of PV Projects located in Madrid and Andalucía, with a total capacity of 3,300 MW. This transaction lies within the framework of the Total’s expansion strategy to become one of the main players in the Spanish electricity market.
The transaction, which involved a multi-disciplinary team, was led by partners Jose Guardo (Projects) and Luis Alonso (M&A), assisted by senior associate Pablo Murcia (M&A). The team also included associates Andrea de Miguel (Projects), Pablo Hernandez and Patricia Arribas (M&A), Jorge Barrero and Itziar Kraus (Real Estate).
