Clifford Chance advises on China Bohai Bank’s US$1.78 billion Hong Kong IPO and Listing

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has acted as international counsel, advising the joint sponsors CCB International, Haitong International Securities, ABC International and CLSA Limited, and the other nine underwriters on China Bohai Bank Co., Ltd’s initial public offering and listing on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.

Tianjin-based China Bohai Bank’s US$1.78 billion (HK$13.8 billion) listing is the largest by a Chinese bank in Hong Kong this year.

China Co-Managing Partner Tim Wang together with partners Jean Thio and Tianning Xiang co-led on the deal, with support from a team in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai which includes counsels Corey Zhang and Hao Wu, associates Xuemei Wang and Dichun Duan and trainee Yumeng Fan.
