
Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised the joint sponsors, Sinolink Securities (Hong Kong) Company Limited and BOCI Asia Limited, on the initial public offering and listing of the H shares of BASiC Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (BASiC Semiconductor) on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, under the Exchange’s Chapter 18C listing regime for Specialist Technology Companies. The listing raised approximately HK$866 million.
Partners Tianning Xiang and Fang Liu and partner of Clifford Chance (Beijing) Claire Cao co-led the transaction with support from counsel Haoze Zheng, senior associate Elaine Lau, associates Rita Cao and Shi Ke, trainee solicitors Catherine Xu and Jasmine Zeng, paralegal Jessie Ni and legal analyst Yulin Sun.
Established in China in 2016, BASiC Semiconductor engages in the research, development, manufacturing and sales of silicon carbide (SiC) power devices and offers automotive-grade and industrial-grade SiC power modules, SiC discrete devices and power semiconductor gate drivers. SiC power devices are used in power conversion, power management and next-generation power-distribution architectures in data centres.
