Clifford Chance has advised network operator Rede Aberta, managed by Cube Infrastructure Managers, on a €50 million financing granted by Allianz Global Investors for the deployment of a fibre-to-the-home network in rural areas of Galicia. The network will provide the wholesale fibre-to-the-home services on an open-access basis, which aims at covering ca. 400,000 households.
This transaction marks a strong achievement for Rede Aberta to integrate Galician rural areas into the digital world by providing tools for network connectivity.
