Clifford Chance advised the sellers of Futureproofed, a Belgium-based climate tech start-up, on its sale to Swedish engineering firm, Sweco. Futureproofed offers consultancy services on sustainability matters and has developed a proprietary carbon management platform, to help businesses and cities achieve a low-carbon future. The combination of Futureproofed and Sweco will allow upscaling Futureproofed’s digital sustainability solutions and accelerate the climate transition.
We advised the founders and venture capital investors of Futureproofed on the sale to Sweco. Futureproofed is a pioneer in developing and marketing digital carbon management tools, including a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform to measure, reduce and report CO2 emissions. It carries out projects in Belgium, France, Sweden, Spain and many other countries globally.
