
Global law firm Clifford Chance advised Northland Power on the syndicated financing of two battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Poland: Kamionka (100 MW / 400 MWh) and Mieczysławów (200 MW / 800 MWh). Both projects have also received grants from Poland’s National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
Northland Power is a global energy provider with a significant track record in developing, owning, and operating high-quality energy assets across a diversified portfolio that includes offshore and onshore wind, solar, natural gas-fired power generation, and grid-scale battery storage.
The Clifford Chance team advising on the transaction was led by Michał Jadwisiak (Counsel) and supervised by Irena Floras-Goode (Partner) and Andrzej Stosio (Partner).
