Baker McKenzie advises Sansiri Capital Group on the acquisition of The Lake Como EDITION

Sansiri Capital Group, one of Thailand’s leading real estate groups with investments internationally, has completed the acquisition of The Lake Como EDITION, an iconic five-star hotel located on Lake Como, from a real estate fund managed by Kryalos SGR and backed by Bain Capital and Omnam Group.

Baker McKenzie advised Sansiri Capital Group through a cross-border, multi-jurisdictional team led by partner Pietro Bernasconi, with counsel Alessandra Calabrese and associate Elisabetta Trecani advising on the corporate aspects of the transaction; partners Davide Chiesa and Pamela Floriani and counsel Marzio Bucciol advising on tax matters; partner Ludovico Rusconi advising on the financing aspects; and partner Eugenio Muschio advising on regulatory matters. The team also worked closely with colleagues in Baker McKenzie’s Bangkok office on the cross-border coordination of the transaction, including Apichart Kasemsri Na Ayudhya, Sujade Simthamnimit, Kanokpan Poovaratanakul, Pattarapreya Sangsawang and Wiranpat Suttinalinpong, from the Firm’s Banking & Finance and Capital Markets teams.
