Baker McKenzie advises BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank on CHF 19 billion bridge financing for Roche

Baker McKenzie acted for BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank in connection with their approximately CHF 19 billion bridge facility for Roche Holding Ltd. Roche Holding Ltd will use the proceeds of the bridge facility to repurchase 53.3 million Roche shares from Novartis Holding AG.

The Roche Group, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, is the world’s largest biotech company and is active in over 100 countries; in 2020 it employed more than 100,000 people worldwide.

Baker McKenzie advised the banks on all legal and tax aspects of the transaction.
