Global law firm Ashurst has advised the Luxembourg Government in relation to the judgement handed down by the General Court of the European Union in the Amazon EU SARL case on 12 May 2021.
The Luxembourg Government was successful in its challenge, which confirms that the tax treatment of the taxpayer in question under the tax rules applicable at the time does not constitute State aid.
The Ashurst team was led by Brussels competition partner Denis Waelbroeck and associate Jessica Bracker.
