Andrew Leiendecker, an associate in Jones Day’s Business & Tort Litigation Practice, has received the University of Minnesota Law School’s Stanley V. Kinyon Adjunct Teacher of the Year Award for his work overseeing the Law School’s National Moot Court program.
This award, meant to recognize excellence in education and extraordinary teaching ability, was established by family and friends in honor of the late Stanley V. Kinyon, a recognized commercial law scholar and member of the Law School faculty for 40 years.
In his work managing the National Moot Court program, Mr. Leiendecker teaches a class on advanced legal writing and oral advocacy and coaches the National Moot Court competition team. Over the past three years, this program has received numerous accolades at the regional National Moot Court tournament and advanced to the national tournament in New York each year.
Mr. Leiendecker represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts and represents and counsels clients in a variety of industries and proceedings, including business torts, contractual disputes, investigations, and civil and criminal appeals. He maintains an active pro bono practice, primarily focusing on appellate representation in federal and state courts.
