Allen & Overy advises bank syndicate of successful GIP and KKR led consortium for Vantage Towers

Allen & Overy has advised a syndicate of banks in connection with the proposed acquisition of a stake in Vantage Towers AG, a leading telecoms tower company in Europe, from Vodafone GmbH (“Vodafone”) by a consortium of funds led by Global Infrastructure Partners and KKR (“the Consortium”).

The transaction will see Vodafone transfer its stake in Vantage Towers to a holding company (“Oak BidCo“) which will be indirectly co-controlled by Vodafone and the Consortium.

The Allen & Overy team was led by London partners Annette Kurdian and Ed Moser as well as Frankfurt partner Dr Michiel Huizinga and counsel Dr Jan-Hendrik Bode. The team in London also included senior associate James Ashcroft, associate Clement Moylan, Evie Haywood and Zoe O’Logbon. In Frankfurt the team included partner Thomas Neubaum, senior associate Tom Haeseler and associate Philipp Martin.
