Weatherford – USD 1.2B Senior Notes Offering and USD 1.3B Tender Offering

Baker McKenzie has acted as Australian counsel to Weatherford International Ltd (Weatherford) in connection with its USD 1.2 billion Senior Notes offering due 2033 at par and its concurrent upsized USD 1.3 billion cash tender offering.

Weatherford had previously announced a cash tender offer for its 8.625% Senior Notes due 2030 and proceeded to amend the terms of the original tender offer to increase the aggregate principal amount of notes that may be purchased to USD 1.3 billion.

The Baker McKenzie debt finance team, comprising partner Hamish McCormack and associate Leandros Pandoulis, advised Weatherford and its Australian subsidiary, Weatherford Australia Pty Ltd, on all Australian law aspects of the transaction.
