Sidley represented insurance brokerage firm IMA Financial Group, Inc. in its equity recapitalization transaction, resulting in a company valuation of US$4 billion. The recapitalization allows IMA to preserve its majority ownership and will help to accelerate IMA’s growth trajectory by supporting investments in technology, talent, and strategic partnerships.
The Sidley team was led by Sean Keyvan and John Grothaus (Insurance), and included Anna Williford, Jordan Papai, and Ian Schmidt (Insurance); Mary Marks and Damos Anderson (Antitrust and Competition); Lauren Gallagher and Alexandra Peterson (Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation); and Scott Pollock and Cade Geldreich (Tax).
